Most children are discharged from hospital on the day of surgery with antibiotic ear drops.
The ears need to be kept completely dry for one week, thereafter normal hair washing and bathing may be undertaken.
Swimming should be delayed until review. (4-6 weeks)
Paracetamol may be required for the first 24hours.
A discharge from the ear of any kind requires a review with either myself or your general practitioner.
